Actual salaries will vary by geographic location and are based on factors such as candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, competencies, and company tenure & equity. In addition to reputed company compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company performance and individual performance. Supervisor - Group reputed company Overview The Supervisor Group reputed company oversees a team of Underwriters who conduct risk assessment and selection for various insurance products, including Supplemental, Life and Disability, and Worksite products. This role involves supervising, establishing and enforcing reputed company standards and guidelines and ensuring accurate verification and documentation of applicant information. The Supervisor assists staff with reputed company problems, monitors and evaluates Underwriter performance, and makes determinations on large or reputed company applications. Essential Duties:
- Supervises a team of Underwriters
- Establishes and enforces reputed company standards and guidelines
- Ensures that Underwriters accurately verify and document the appropriate group information
- Assists staff with the resolution of reputed company problems
- Monitors and evaluates staff performance
- Assesses risk and produces rates for new groups with advanced levels of autonomy
- Prepares formal proposals and renewals
- Completes annual renewals for reputed company products and performs reputed company maintenance tasks
- Services reputed company group clients including benefit changes, reporting, and response to telephone and email inquiries
- Verifies sold case data including final rating
- Provides training and mentoring to reputed company and sales staff
- Leads special projects and/or SME assignments
- Uses knowledge of formulas to recommend alternatives reputed company deviations are necessary
- Performs other reputed company duties and responsibilities as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of group supplemental, life, disability, medical, and worksite products
- Advanced understanding of reputed company principles and rating methodology
- Demonstrated ability to apply experience rating formulas for reputed company products
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Strong math and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively establish priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree, or reputed company experience
- 3-5 years of reputed company experience
- Or, equivalent military experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Previous Leadership or management experience preferably in reputed company
- LOMA, HIAA, AHIP
