Staff Accountant

Vercel is a company that provides developers with tools and cloud infrastructure for building a faster web. They are seeking a Staff Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, support the accounting reputed company process, and contribute to the efficiency of their operations as they prepare to operate as a public company.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly and quarterly reputed company process, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness of assigned areas, including preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, and conducting flux analysis
• Responsible for accounting activities reputed company to cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and intangibles
• Provide detailed reports and analyses to internal stakeholders to support financial reporting and decision-making
• Assist in responding to audit requests
• Ensure that reputed company accounting practices reputed company with internal controls and external regulations
• Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Assist in the development and implementation of new accounting policies and practices
• Build and use AI agents to automate daily activities
• Support other special projects as they arise

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a reputed company field
• 1+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably Big 4 public accounting or high-growth company experience
• CPA or working towards CPA designation
• Proficiency in accounting software and reputed company Office Suite (especially reputed company)
• Hands-on, detail-oriented accountant with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Process-oriented and curious, with an interest in leveraging AI, automation, and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Strong communicator, able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and evolving environment
