Advanced Practitioner (PA or NP) Virtual Visit
Overview
Advanced Practitioner (PA or NP) Virtual Visit — GoHealth Urgent Care (Greater Indianapolis, Virtual). Full-time position.
Responsibilities
- Examining and treating patients
- Taking patients’ medical histories
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays
- Making diagnoses and prescribing medications
- Treating minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or casting
- Recording progress notes for follow-up patients
- Educating and counseling patients
- Ordering and/or carrying out therapy with patients
- Giving vaccinations, and referring patients to additional care
- Each provider will work an anticipated four (4), eight (8) or twelve (12) hours per shift as assigned by GoHealth Urgent Care
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree required for Physician Assistants; Master’s Degree required for Nurse Practitioners
- Work Experience: 2–5 years of post-residency clinical experience required; minimum 18 months experience in applicable practice setting
- Adult and pediatric practice experience strongly preferred
- Licenses/Certifications: National Certification; Active state medical licensure
- Additional Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required: Urgent Care or Emergency Room experience; applicable office procedures including suturing, splinting, etc.
- Additional Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Preferred: Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records; strong listening and communication skills; excellent customer service
