  • Mentorship: Serve as a go‑to mentor for other designers, providing guidance on best practices, design standards, and problem‑solving techniques.
  • Project Facilitation: Lead cross‑functional project teams or issue resolution groups, ensuring clear objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Design Coordination: Collaborate with manufacturers and internal stakeholders to validate that design practices comply with material specifications and arenaflex policies.
  • Process Innovation: Develop and document modified procedures and unique instructions for repairs, modifications, inspections, and other support activities that are not covered by existing manuals.
  • Operational Awareness: Stay current on daily airline operations, including flight‑line activities, and assess daily requirements against aircraft/departmental goals and management directives.
  • Issue Analysis: Investigate aircraft or component problems that could cause delays, excessive labor, or maintenance disruptions, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Design Support: Provide engineering assistance for non‑standard situations affecting aircraft or components, helping to restore operational status quickly and safely.
  • Cross‑Department Collaboration: Respond to requests from Maintenance and other airline divisions when specialized expertise is needed to resolve issues or advance projects.
  • Strategic Planning: Create work plans for fleet or multi‑fleet and component design projects, aligning them with evaluated needs and strategic objectives.
  • Documentation Management: Organize design archives to support specialized procedures, ensuring that revised methods for repairs, modifications, and inspections meet aircraft/departmental targets and management mandates.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Keep abreast of current and upcoming regulations that affect your area of responsibility, guaranteeing that all design activities remain compliant with material regulatory requirements.
  • Professional Development: Leverage available resources to build levels of technical expertise and practical experience, while continuously improving communication skills, time management, and other personal attributes essential for high performance.
