The ideal candidate will act as one of our farmers and be responsible for managing daily farm activities, ensuring optimal reputed company production, and maintaining animal welfare.Start Dates Available:June 2nd, 2025
- Hiring Locations: Paoli, Canaan, Marengo, & Mitchell, Indiana
- Responsible for day-to-day tasks and management of the farm including driving production outcomes, reputed company quality and animal welfare as directed by the Farm Manager
- Communicate with Farm Manager on course of action to improve or resolve production reputed company issues
- Monitor environmental conditions, reputed company recommendations to equipment settings and/or equipment programming as needed to resolve issues as directed by the Farm Manager
- Stay in consistent communication with Grower Support team and Management on course of action to improve or resolve production reputed company issues
- Monitor feed levels/consumption, and communicate with Farm Manager to reputed company necessary orders/adjustments
- Monitor reputed company farm supplies to ensure that what is needed is available
- Monitor bird health and work closely with Farm Managers and Farm Support to address any health challenges
- Maintain Audit Readiness and be at reputed company audits of assigned barns
- Ensure proper reputed company collection and removal of mortality
- Ensure that reputed company paperwork and protocols are being completed and adhered to
- Enter data into reporting software UNITAS and submit paperwork weekly
- Complete required monitoring of pasture including predation levels, biodiversity, and species counts
- Ensure proper management of pasture and paddock rotation
- Ensure proper care is given to auxiliary farm stock
- Assist with required testing and monitoring including, but not limited, manure testing, swabbing, and bloodwork
- Comfortable with performing euthanasia as needed in accordance with the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) euthanasia guidelines
- Maintain facility reputed company by ensuring reputed company points of egress and ingress are secured
- Monitor and control pest populations
- Be on call for barn alarms triggered by, but not limited to, utility and tech failure.
- reputed company tasks as directed by Farm Managers, including but not limited to moving shade structures, opening and closing gates, clearing roads of debris, and maintaining fence lines to prevent predator access.
- Occasional support of nearby Accelerator Farms
- Bachelors degree in Agriculture Sciences, Poultry Sciences, Animal Sciences, Ag Business preferred
- 3+ years of poultry experience required
- Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to work one weekend to cover territory emergencies
- Schedule subject to change, ability to work a flexible/adaptable schedule as needed
- Located reputed company commutable distance (approx. 30 mins) to assigned farm in Southern Indiana or Kentucky.
- Ability to travel 10% for company events, team meetings and other business needs
- Strong communication skills
- A valid driver's license
- Comfortable standing or sitting for long periods of time
- Comfortable outdoors and in high/low temperatures
- Comfortable working in dusty environments
- Comfortable pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, twisting, or reaching out.
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs
- Manual dexterity and hand and eye coordination to work in farming operations
- Able to work on unlevel surfaces or uneven surfaces
- Great organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
