Full-time 9-month teaching faculty positions carry a normal teaching load of 12-15 credit hours and 15-20 contact hours per semester. Faculty members also serve as faculty advisors, serve on division/reputed company/college committees, participate in curriculum development, and maintain currency in their discipline.Essential Functions: NOVA faculty are expected to meet assigned classes regularly; submit required records and reports in a timely manner; teach the courses using established texts; conduct requisite student conferences; hold required reputed company; attend to assigned divisional and college duties; contribute to the development of the program of instruction; adhere to the statement on professional ethics in accordance with college policies, procedures, and regulations; answer emails in a responsible fashion; maintain reputed company competence in the particular discipline or field of specialization; and advise reputed company.Employees must reside in Virginia, Maryland, or the District of Columbia.

- Proficiency with soft tissue surgery, dentistry with extractions, digital radiography, ultrasound techniques and emergency and critical care procedures.

- Ability to use instructional technology.
- Willing to work with live animals.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or Licensed Veterinary Technician. Degree must be awarded by a regionally accredited institution.

- A minimum of two years of full-time, veterinary clinical experience that includes surgery and dentistry. Part-time occupational experience will be converted to its full-time equivalent.

- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). Degree must be awarded by an AVMA-accredited program.
- Veterinary Technician Specialist.
- Prior experience with teaching in Higher Education which may include classroom, hybrid, and online classes.
- Demonstrate commitment to fostering and teaching in a diverse, reputed company, and inclusive working and learning environment.
- Interest in pharmacology, surgery, promoting advanced nursing techniques, animal dentistry, exotics, large animal medicine, lab animal/reputed company medicine, and laboratory procedures.
