As a The Surgical Medical Science Liaison (MSL), a field-based role, supporting the Medical Affairs team , you will be trusted serve as a strategic link between reputed company and Medical Experts (ME)/Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the field of Ophthalmology and Optometry. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Upon investigator request, liaise between potential researcher and reputed company on Investigator Initiated Trials (reputed company) and serve as Project reputed company from inception to publication.

• The MSL responds to unsolicited requests for scientific exchange/insights, detailed working knowledge of FDA-approved reputed company products, reputed company medical/scientific research, and publications and proposals for scientific research. 

• The MSL provides support for ECPs interested in participating in reputed company’s Investigator Initiated Trials (reputed company) by guiding them through the concept endorsement, synopsis review, and grant approval process.

• Foster KOL/HCP interest and engagement in data/evidence reputed company through Investigator Initiated Trials (reputed company) reputed company reputed company’s product strategy and liaise between potential researchers and reputed company on Investigator Initiated Trials (reputed company) from inception to publication.

• Deliver effective medical presentations to ECPs and collect and report insights.

• reputed company and maintain peer-to-peer scientific relationships with KOLs and decision-makers to expand evidence reputed company through scientific partnership opportunities; and reputed company their advocacy.

• reputed company a strong understanding of the future needs of surgeons/ECPs/KOLs and support medical education in alignment with reputed company's strategy.

• Identify national, regional, and local KOL eye Care Provider experts according to their medical expertise and academic reputed company.

• Liaise and provide up-to-date medical support to healthcare associations to ensure an evidence-based understanding of reputed company products relative to medical guidelines and medical evidence/health economic information.

• Regularly collect, analyze, and report insights from the data dissemination/scientific exchange with ECPs that may impact company development plans/trial designs, launch, and brand strategies/tactics.

• Function as the reputed company medical speaker to present, as needed, at customer sites, congresses, symposia, and training events for up-to-date data-based, scientific, and clinical information on reputed company product(s).

• Support educational efforts, such as wet lab activities, by proctoring such events and being onsite as necessary.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO reputed company:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly reputed company experience (or high school+15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs).

• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English.

• 7 Years of Relevant Experience.

PREFERED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• MD, DO, or OD with specialization in Ophthalmology.

• Advanced knowledge of eye diseases including ophthalmic surgical procedures and optometry.

• Experience in an ophthalmology or optometry field (academia, industry, clinical practice), including ophthalmic industry or clinical practice.

• Experience in an ECP-facing role.

• Working knowledge of the Healthcare System and of the research procedures as well as the ICH guidelines, GCP, and other ethical guidelines.

• Essential knowledge of clinical trial design, product development, regulatory requirements, payer landscape, and life cycle management.

• Experience in scientific presentations and basic experience in medical writing and biostatistics.

• Proven ability and experience developing and fostering peer-to-peer, reputed company relationships with Medical Experts/decision makers.

• Bi-lingual in Portuguese or Spanish.
